" the cross"

In November there is a race in the "fort ":it's the big park
next to the school. We must run 1.5 km (1 mile).
everybody is there: the pupils, the teachers and the staff.
We must run fast to win. We get more point if one teacher
runs for our class. Each class runs after the other. We stay
all morning and we have lessons in the afternoon. There is an
individual ranking : the first three pupils receive a medal
and the class which comes first wins a cup . After the race ,
each pupil gets a bowl of hot chocolate and a piece of cake .
In general , the pupil love this race for several reasons : we
miss lessons , we see some teachers run , we are all together
with our friends and we have fun .
Unfortunately , It rains every year .
