The International Run Against Hunger
« La course contre la faim »
« Action contre la faim » is an association that helps the poor countries in Africa and the rest of the world.
They organize races throughout France. These races take place in secondary schools.
The pupils must find sponsors.
These sponsors give money to pupils for each kilometer they run.
The pupils are allowed to run up to ten kilometers.
This year, it’s the eleventh time it happens but here in BORIS VIAN, it’s only the second time.
This year, the money children collect is for Liberia.
But it’s not only a race. It’s also a party :
There is a pic-nic with the teachers, there is a music to encourage pupils to run.
This year, it will take place on Friday May 16th.
